What is a concept bookstore?
When we say TNB is a “concept” bookstore, we mean the concept is the Black experience. From the store’s physical design, to our social media presence, it is all a concept.
Additionally, that concept is how we stock our store. The books within TNB fit a specific educational theme for the community. There are other books within the store’s space as well.
What kinds of books do you carry?
TNB carries both new and used copies of Black and Brown authored literature. Because we are a concept store, the majority of the books in-store are dedicated to the “Education” pillar of TNB. Themes for books are rotated out as part of a series. We also have books in our “Little Noir Library,” that can be checked out for two weeks.
I don’t see a book I wanted. Can you order it?
Of course! Just let us know.
Are you accepting book donations?
Yes! We are always accepting Black and Brown authored book donations. Good condition only, please.
I am an author. How can I have my book in TNB?
The Noir Bookshop is thrilled to have such an enthusiastic response from local self-published authors. Because we are a concept store, the books within the store must fit the educational theme of the store at any given time. Self-published titles are accepted at the discretion of TNB and is subject to change. Please do not drop off copies of books at the store for consideration. Because we are a team of one, please do not solicit your book in-store on busy days/weekends.

I’m an entrepreneur interested in having my products in-store. How can I do that?
The Noir Bookshop accepts new brands in-store on a rolling basis. Please stay tuned for our next round of brand partner submissions.
Can I use The Noir Bookshop’s space for an event?
Community is what we’re here for, and we can’t wait to have guests in our space, planning and collaborating.
