The Green Book was a guide published annually from the 1930s-1960s for African American travelers. The book listed services and places open to African American visitors during a time of legalized racial discrimination.
Join us in this two-part program to learn about the local places and services in the Green Book and walk in their footprints today.

The first part will take place at The Noir Bookshop (2317 Cherokee Street, STL MO 63118) on Wednesday, October 4 from 6-8pm.
Attendees will receive a copy of The Negro Traveler’s Green Book from The Noir Bookshop, while supplies last.

The second part will include a 1 mile walk on the Brickline Greenway along Market Street between 20th Street and Jefferson Avenue on Saturday, October 7 from 2-4pm. Space is limited. Registration is free and required.

Join us Saturday, Oct 29, for THE NOIR BOO SHOP, a Halloween Party for the kids!
We'll have some safe Halloween fun with an afternoon of crafts, snacks, spooky hands-on story-time, a costume contest/fashion show. Attendees will receive a take home bag of goodies from The Noir Bookshop, and in-store selection of treats. Suggested Ages 3-10. Parents may bring infants in strollers for free.
